Glyph & Cog Announces PDF Viewer Component for Windows

San Jose, CA - November 4, 2002 - Glyph & Cog, LLC is pleased to announce Version 2.00 of the Xpdf family of PDF extraction and viewer software. This release marks the debut of XpdfViewer™, a PDF file viewer component for Windows.

XpdfViewer is targeted at Windows developers who need to add PDF viewing functionality to their applications. Many applications can benefit from embedding a PDF viewer directly into their GUI. XpdfViewer provides the developer with full control over the PDF viewer -- XpdfViewer fits into your GUI, not the other way around.

XpdfViewer is a fully featured PDF viewer. Features include:

The XpdfViewer is available immediately as a DLL. The XpdfViewer ActiveX control will be available in early 2003.

The Xpdf 2.00 release also includes new versions of the XpdfInfo™ library, for PDF metadata extraction, and the XpdfText™ library, for text extraction from PDF files.
